Exciting news from the farm! We are just about to plant our first crop of chia for 2020.
We will be planting the white and the black chia in separate paddocks - together over 50 acres of chia!
Pretty Purple Chia Flowers
Once planted the chia will take about 6 months to mature. After about 3 months chia gets a gorgeous purple flower and the entire paddock looks incredible. People stop their cars to take photos, and often say that our "lavender fields" look amazing.
Harvesting Time
When it's ready to harvest Dennis will be the one driving the harvester. It usually takes a week to harvest all the paddocks. All the family like to get involved at harvest time, and you can see Christian joining his grandad on the harvester.
